The Moravian Wine Trail is the main artery of the unique network of regional cycling trails known as the Moravian Wine Trails, which wind through the picturesque landscape of southeastern Moravia. This “wine highway” joins the venerable town of Znojmo with Uherské Hradiště, the capital of the Slovácko (Moravian Slovakia) region, while allowing visitors to experience a part of the country marked by wine, rich history and living traditions. The Moravian Wine Trail, marked in red, passes through all Moravian wine regions and intersects seven of the ten local wine loops. It traverses 70 winemaking towns, dozens of protected natural areas and many of the region’s important historical and architectural monuments.

The guide describes a route starting in Znojmo, but will reliably accompany you through the Moravian wine country in the opposite direction from Uherské Hradiště as well. Come explore this land of monuments and wine, travel through 300 km of southern Moravian orchards and vineyards, enjoy the fruits of the local labour and the hospitality of the local people. The Trail follows safe roads with quality surfacing and will lead you to the most interesting winemaking localities of the region.

The care for and maintenance of the Moravian Wine Trail has been made possible by the participation of individuals who are actively engaged in promoting a healthy environment, preserving our cultural and natural heritage, and encouraging the sustainable development of towns and communities. In addition to the Prague-Vienna Greenway and the Krakow-Moravia-Vienna Greenway, the Moravian Wine Trail is one of the most important Greenways in Central Europe.
